Expert Solutions for Your Water Needs

Our solutions are tailored to restore and maintain the health of your water systems. We combat harmful algae blooms in lakes, reduce odours in municipal lift stations, clarify golf course ponds, and optimize oxygenation for wastewater treatment facilities. With a commitment to sustainable and effective water management, we deliver customized solutions to improve water clarity, quality, and ecological health across diverse applications.

Oxygen Saturation Technology (OST)

Oxygen Saturation Technology (OST™) is a patented aeration system designed to eliminate common issues with traditional aeration, such as sediment resuspension and limited dissolved oxygen (DO) levels. It uniquely blankets lake sediments with high DO (up to 25 mg/L), reducing nutrient release and preventing harmful algae blooms. OST™ operates efficiently with automated DO monitoring, offering substantial energy savings by maintaining pre-set DO levels in real time, ensuring robust water quality and ecosystem health

Municipal

In lake management and environmental services, municipalities play a critical role in preserving and enhancing local water resources like lakes, ponds, rivers, and essential infrastructure such as lift stations.

At PureWater Engineering, we partner with municipalities to support the health of these public resources, crucial for environmental sustainability, community well-being, and recreation. Using our advanced Oxygen Saturation Technology (OST™), we create tailored solutions that address each water body’s specific needs—whether it’s nutrient control, oxygenation, or algae bloom prevention. Additionally, OST™ supports odor control at lift stations by delivering oxygen directly to aerobic bacteria, which prevents the unpleasant odors caused by anaerobic bacterial activity. Through these targeted strategies, we help municipalities sustain vibrant, healthy water systems for their communities.

Consultation

  • SOD:
Sediment Oxygen Demand (SOD) testing provides precise, in-situ measurements of your lake’s dissolved oxygen needs, a crucial step in crafting an effective, tailored remediation solution
  • Phosphorous Speciation:
Phosphorus speciation analyzes lake sediments to determine the types and levels of organic and inorganic phosphorus present, providing valuable insight to guide an effective remediation strategy
  • Hybrid Solutions:
Our consulting services provide a customized, science-based approach to lake remediation, using data from Sediment Oxygen Demand (SOD) and phosphorus speciation testing. This detailed analysis enables us to design a solution specific to your lake’s needs, whether through delivering targeted oxygen to the hypolimnion, utilizing our Oxygen Saturation Technology (OST™) to supply supersaturated water, or combining both methods for maximum impact. For comprehensive nutrient management, we can also deliver targeted amendments, such as aluminum chloride (ACh), to bind and stabilize phosphorus in lake sediments. This hybrid approach offers an efficient, cost-effective, and lasting solution to restore and maintain lake health.
